Dr. Satterfield with the help of her team evaluates eye muscle misalignment in children and adults. Treatment sometimes involves glasses, patching, or surgical correction for children, and prism glasses or surgical correction for adults. She will discuss with you and your family the best treatment option(s).
Dr. Satterfield evaluates for and treats amblyopia in children 9 years old and younger with glasses, patching, and/or strabismus surgery, depending on your child’s needs.
Dr. Satterfield screens for retinopathy of prematurity, a blinding eye condition, in premature infants who qualify during their NICU stay. She treats when medically indicated with injections and/or lasers.
Dr. Satterfield surgically treats nasolacrimal duct obstructions in infants >12 months old.
